People's Climate March

Join the People’s Climate Movement this April 29th in Chicago and across the country to stand up for our climate and our communities. CYACA will be meeting at the Federal Plaza (50 W. Adams St., Chicago, Illinois 60603) with other environmental groups to promote a greener future!

Eco Talks at the Northwestern Law Clinic

The Chicago Youth Alliance for Climte Action proudly presents Eco Talks, a Ted-X style event where different speakers coming from various backgrounds and professions talk about the unique ways in which they help fight climate change. Join us on Sunday, May 15th from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm in Aspen Hall at the Northwestern Law Clinic!

On April 21st, the CYACA along with the Mom's Clean Air Force and Environemental Law and Policy Center will be going down to Springfield to participate in Lobby Day and talk with local state representatives and sentaors!

Join NRDC at Garfield Park Conservatory! (Right off the Kedzie-Green Line) 


"From droughts and water scarcity to sea level rise and floods, the impacts of climate change on our water resources are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. Enter “Cli-Fi” - a burgeoning literary genre that grapples with the effects of our changing climate and envisions a future if we fail to act. The stories featured in this discussion underscore society’s changing relationship with water and convey the impacts of climate change in a way that scientific facts and numbers alone cannot."

Mikva Challenge Mayoral Youth Commission YOUTH IDEAS HACK!

Mikva Challenge's Youth Ideas Hack is a one-day event where we will explore how technology can be used to work on community problems.

1. Young people will present their ideas for projects that use technology to address youth issues
2. Teams of adults and youth techies will form around those projects
3. Teams brainstorm, play, and create a final pitch for their tech-based solution to a panel of judges

Day of Silence and Rally

Support the Paris Climate Negotiations by joining CYACA in a day of silence throughout the school day! Additionally come to Skinner Park at 4:30pm(1331 W Adams, Chicago, Il) where we'll have speakers and young people talk about the importance of youth in the environment!
